Mrinmoy Ganguly
He was born and raised in Hyderabad. Did his schooling from Niraj Public School, Hyderabad and completed his graduation from Don Bosco Institute of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
He had a strong desire to learn about Sound Engineering right from his days in DBIT. Generally people listen to songs, understand the lyrics. This guy has a different perspective altogether. He loves every form of music, be it rock, heavy metal, light music, film songs, classical music. He tries to understand how was a song recorded, which instruments were used, who were the singers. He joined National Institute of Event Management, Mumbai and was interested in Sound Engineering and Production study.
As a post graduate from the NIEM Mumbai, he has managed events and artists. To rub shoulders (as their sound engineer) with such luminaries as Udit Narayan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, KK, members of Euphoria, the Indian Schwarzenegger Salman Khan and others was an exhilarating experience.
Being an Electronics Engineer he was always desirous of unleashing his technical side. His activities and interests in Sound Engineering drew him close to Versus – a band from his alma mater. With Versus, he found his calling. The challenges of a fledging band stimulated him. Combining his passion for the arc lights and his Computing skills honed through formal learning, he consults to Versus on Technology.
He is now a Software Professional with HCL Technologies Limited, Kolkata
He started his career with Microsoft products in 2007 at SemanticSpace Technologies, Hyderabad. During his stint with SemanticSpace, he had the opportunity to work on a range of MS Technologies. He has over 4 years of experience in UX Design and SharePoint Development and Administration. He has strong exposure to Silveright and SharePoint Administration. He is an active member of the Microsoft Expression Community and Silverlight Community. His articles are published in Microsoft's Silverlight gallery.
His interests include Driving, Playing Tabla, Drums, Aquariums and Travelling.
